This is my first chain maille project in years. Still had these ring so I figured I'd better use them. Don't mind the ugly clasp. Didn't have anything better.
The Year of Jewelry is a great project started by the members of the Creative Wire Jewelry Forum of which I have been a member since 2001. This a personal challenge is to make a new piece of jewelry every week and post it on the YOJ blog. I decided to join in the third quarter of 2007 when I started to make jewelry again after a long time of not being able to make any jewelry due to an illness. For me the challenge is to post a new piece every week, to improve my skills and learn new techniques. The entries of the other members are a great inspiration. You can view the YOJ Blog here
My name is Eva de Witte. I'm 37 years old and a mom of two beautiful kids. I've been making "wire jewelry" for about six years now. The Creative Wire Jewelry forum and it's members have been a wonderful inspiration and help for me. It's a great community and I have made some very special friends there.
